SBR FINISH SEASON WITH MIXED RESULTS
SBR FINISH SEASON WITH MIXED RESULTS
In another dramatic finale, Stone Brothers Racing have ended the 2011 V8 Supercar season with a mixed bag of results – the highlight being another podium for Shane van Gisbergen in the #9 SP Tools Racing Falcon.
    SvG SNATCHES PODIUM IN THRILLER
In a reversal of fortunes on last year’s Homebush race where he ran out of fuel while leading on the last lap, Stone Brothers Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen sealed a dramatic race with third place today after several other drivers suffered at the hands of poor fuel economy.
PROMISING START FOR SBR AT HOMEBUSH
Stone Brothers Racing (SBR) has made an auspicious start to the final V8 Supercar Championship event for 2011, with all three of its SBR Falcons demonstrating the potential for some strong results at the Homebush street circuit in Sydney today.
SBR STAGE GREAT FIGHTBACK AT SANDOWN
Stone Brothers Racing (SBR) finished the final 200km race at Sandown International Raceway with two of its Falcons in the top ten this afternoon.
Shane spent his formative years racing ATVs on natural terrain motocross tracks and a Quarter Midget on speedway ovals before a brief but typically successful dalliance with karts. Since then he has been on a fast track to major Australasian success. In 2011, driving the #9 SP Tools Racing Falcon, Shane is well in the hunt for the Championship after scoring ten podium finishes last season.
Slade stamped his mark as a man to watch in 2006, when he finished runner up in the Australia Formula Ford Championship. Since then he has also seen success in the Fujitsu Development Series and this year is entering his second fulltime season with Stone Brothers Racing in the new-look #47 Lucky 7 Racing Falcon.
