	10/09/2010 SBR’S KIWI DUO QUICKEST ON DAY 1 AT PHILLIP ISLAND	After a long nine week break the V8 Supercars were back on track today for the opening day of the L&H 500 at Phillip Island. It was the Kiwi’s who set the pace with Shane van Gisbergen and John McIntyre ending the day with the quickest overall lap time in the SP Tools Racing FG Falcon after three 30 minutes practice sessions. It was the first time since Bathurst 2009 that the wet weather tyres were rolled out thanks to rain that remained present for most part of the day.

	11/07/2010 TOUGH DAY AT THE OFFICE FOR SBR IN TOWNSVILLE	It was a frustrating day for SBR today (Sunday) with all three cars struggling to make gains in the 200km race on the Townsville street circuit. After a shocking qualifying session that saw all three cars start from outside the top 15 Shane van Gisbergen wrestled the SP Tools Falcon to another top ten finish while Tim Slade managed his second 12th place for the weekend.
	10/07/2010 THREE CARS IN THE TOP 15 FOR SBR IN TOWNSVILLE	It was a tough race on the Townsville street circuit today (Saturday) with 72 laps taking its toll on the drivers in the opening race of the Sucrogen Townsville 400. Shane van Gisbergen was forced to make up for lost time twice after losing track position when trying to avoid an incident and overshooting the pit box during his first stop for tyres and fuel.
	20/06/2010 BITTERSWEET FINISH FOR SBR IN DARWIN	It’s been a bittersweet finish to the Skycity Triple Crown weekend in Darwin today (Sunday) with Shane van Gisbergen scoring another podium crossing the finish line in 3rd. The race ended with mixed emotions when Alex Davison posted a DNF due to a mysterious electrical issue after leading the race and starting from pole position on the grid. Tim Slade’s speed continued in Race 14 finishing inside the top ten, crossing the line in 6th place for the second time this weekend.
	19/06/2010 VAN GISBERGEN NOT SICK OF THIRD	Shane van Gisbergen has scored his 6th podium for the season today (Saturday) finishing 3rd in the opening race of the Skycity Triple Crown at Hidden Valley in Darwin. In typical van Gisbergen style the #9 SP Tools Racing Falcon charged through the field taking on the big names to finish in the top three. On the other side of the garage, Wilson Security Racing’s Tim Slade had a day of personal bests taking part in his first career shootout and finishing the 42 lap race in 6th position, his best
	18/06/2010 SOLID START FOR SBR IN THE TOP END	Stone Brothers Racing have had a solid start to the Hidden Valley, Skycity Triple Crown weekend with all three SBR FG Falcons finishing inside the top ten at the conclusion of four 30-minute practice sessions. Alex Davison lead the way for the SBR cars finishing the day 6th fastest in the IRWIN Racing Ford while his teammates, Shane van Gisbergen and Tim Slade were directly behind in 7th and 8th position.
	18/06/2010 SLADES SPEED SECURES START FROM SECOND ROW	Wilson Security Racing's Tim Slade will start today's 42 lap race in Darwin from the second row on the grid after posting the 3rd fastest time in the Top Ten Shootout.The #47 driver advanced from provisional seventh in qualifying to third, making it his best qualifying performance of his 18 month V8 career. Teammate, Shane van Gisbergen will start the 120km race from 7th while Alex Davison will start from 25th position.

	16/05/2010 SLADE SCORES TOP TEN FINISH AT WINTON	Wilson Security Racing’s Tim Slade scored his best ever finishing result in a sprint race today crossing the finish line in 7th after 64 gruelling laps on the Winton Motor Raceway Circuit. The race that was originally due to run 68 laps long was cut short due to telecast time restrictions. After starting from 24th on the grid Slade passed 17 cars to score what he describes as his most satisfying result in his short V8 Supercar career.
	15/05/2010 SBR GO WELL AT WINTON	SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen has never considered the Winton circuit very kind to him but he may be having a change of heart after cutting through the field from 15th to finish 5th in today’s 40 lap soft tyre race. In a race that saw plenty of passing on the Dunlop ‘Sprint’ tyre Tim Slade also made ground crossing the line 12th while his team-mate Alex Davison finished 16th.
	14/05/2010 THREE CARS IN THE TOP TEN FOR SBR ON DAY 1 AT WINTON	Stone Brothers Racing had the ideal start to a race weekend today [Friday] with all three FG Ford Falcons inside the top ten at the conclusion of Practice. It wasn’t just the SBR Series regulars that did a good job on the Winton circuit with enduro drivers, Jack Perkins and John McIntyre ending their stints on a high note.
	13/05/2010 PERKINS LOOKS FORD TO ENDUROS	Best mates, Tim Slade and Jack Perkins have been confirmed as teammates for the 2010 V8 Supercar endurance races. Slade and Perkins will co-drive the #47 SBR prepared, Wilson Security Racing Falcon that is run under the James Rosenberg licence at the L&H Phillip Island 500 and Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
	02/05/2010 VAN GISBERGEN BACK IN THE POINTS FIGHT	Shane van Gisbergen vowed to make a comeback after the disappointment of Hamilton and he delivered once again today [Sunday] capping off the QLD Raceway weekend with another 3rd place in the final race. 	01/05/2010 SBR’S PLAN PAYS DIVIDENDS AT QLD RACEWAY	SBR’s plan paid off today when the team’s strategy to conserve tyres in the first part of the opening stint saw Shane van Gisbergen finish the 38 lap race in 3rd place. Van Gisbergen remained patient for the first half of the race dropping back from his starting position of 3rd to 8th while setting consistent lap times on soft tyres. As planned the front runners lap times dropped off halfway through the first stint enabling van Gisbergen to make his move and position himself well before pitting

	28/04/2010 LEMANS 24 HOUR CHAMPION TO DRIVE WITH ALEX DAVISON AT V8 ENDUROS AND GOLD COAST 600	Reigning LeMans 24-hour champion David Brabham will drive for Stone Brothers Racing at the two V8 Supercar endurance events and at the Armor All Gold Coast 600. Brabham will team up with IRWIN Racing’s Alex Davison in the #4 FG Ford Falcon at the Phillip Island L&H 500, followed by the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 before taking part in the new compulsory international driver concept at the revamped Armor All Gold Coast 600.
	18/04/2010 SBR MAKE A GOOD RECOVERY IN HAMILTON	SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen made a good recovery in Race 2 of the Hamilton ITM 400 after yesterday’s nightmare DNF result. Van Gisbergen started the 59 lap race from 12th on the grid and managed to turn his qualifying position into a top ten result finishing 8th. Wilson Security Racing’s Tim Slade finished in 19th but went down a lap to the race leader on the final lap. A mistake on Lap 55 did not cost the #47 car track position but kept Slade from finishing on the lead lap.
	17/04/2010 SBR LEFT OUT IN THE COLD AT HAMILTON	Stone Brothers Racing were left making up the back numbers in today’s race after poor qualifying results left all three cars struggling to make progress on the streets of Hamilton. IRWIN Racing’s Alex Davison was the only SBR driver to finish the 59 lap race managing to keep his nose relatively clean to finish 18th. Davison was looking good for a top 15 result but fell victim to an incident mid-field in the dying stages of the race.
	17/04/2010 SBR HAVE WORK TO DO AFTER QUALIFYING	SBR were unable to continue yesterday’s momentum into this morning’s Qualifying session with all three cars finishing outside the top 20. Two red flags interrupted the twenty minutes session after Tony Ricciardello made contact with the wall at Turn 7 and Will Davison followed shortly after the session went green.
	16/04/2010 VAN GISBERGEN THE KWIKEST KIWI ON DAY 1 IN HAMILTON	On day one of the ITM 400 Hamilton event van Gisbergen did not disappoint in front of his home crowd finishing Practice 3rd quickest. After announcing this morning that he has re-signed with SBR until 2012, van Gisbergen’s performance reiterates why he has chosen to stay with the Ford team. IRWIN Racing’s Alex Davison was back in top form and not far behind his Kiwi teammate finishing the day 5th fastest.
	16/04/2010 VAN GISBERGEN RE-SIGNS WITH SBR UNTIL 2012	Stone Brothers Racing held an official press conference in Hamilton this morning to announce that Shane van Gisbergen has re-signed with the Ford backed team until the end of 2012. The re-sign comes at the turning point of van Gisbergen’s career having secured three podium finishes in the 2010 V8 Supercar season so far.

	28/03/2010 VAN GISBERGEN TAKES THE NEXT STEP UP ON THE PODIUM	Shane van Gisbergen scored his best career result today finishing the final race of the BRC IMPCO V8 Supercar Challenge in 2nd place. After starting from 4th place on the grid van Gisbergen had moved up to 2nd by Lap 8 when both Jamie Whincup and James Courtney suffered engine dramas putting them out of the race. Van Gisbergen’s combined points for the weekend put him 2nd overall earning him his place on the podium for a third time this season.
	27/03/2010 SBR IN THE MIX AT THE AGP	Stone Brothers Racing were well in the mix again during the second race of the BRC IMPCO V8 Supercar Challenge today. Once again the race was run under clouds with a hint of rain making an appearance in the opening laps. Shane van Gisbergen made it as high as 2nd in the race but fell back to 4th when Jamie Whincup made a charge through the field. Van Gisbergen looked likely to take 3rd place on the final lap when he made a pass on James Courtney but was forced out wide, crossing the line 4th.
	26/03/2010 VAN GISBERGEN FINISHES THIRD IN MELBOURNE	The opening race of the BRC IMPCO V8 Supercar Challenge started under clouds with rain just clearing in time for the start of the 13 lap sprint. After qualifying 5th in the Top Ten Shootout Shane van Gisbergen managed to jump two positions on the first lap and raced under immense pressure for the remaining laps, holding off Craig Lowndes to finish 3rd.
	25/03/2010 VAN GISBERGEN RESERVES PLACE IN AGP SHOOTOUT	After a quick turnaround from the Adelaide, Clipsal 500 earlier this month the V8 Supercars took to the track today for Practice and Qualifying on Day 1 of the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. The earlier 30 minute Practice session saw SBR a bit off the pace until things picked up in the afternoon’s Qualifying with Shane van Gisbergen reserving his place in tomorrow’s Top Ten Shootout after posting the 10th quickest time of the session.

	14/03/2010 VAN GISBERGEN, ‘THE COMEBACK KID’ IN ADELAIDE	It was an exhilarating end to Race 2 of the Clipsal 500 today with SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen just missing out on a podium finish to cross the line in 4thplace. Unlike yesterday, the 78 lap race ran without major incident, but was interrupted by a Safety Car period when the curb at Turn 8 started to deteriorate. The laps under caution were a god send for SBR who ran a risky fuel strategy that meant both van Gisbergen and Tim Slade were able to conserve enough fuel to make it to the en
	13/03/2010 SBR BRUISED BUT NOT BEATEN IN ADELAIDE	Stone Brothers Racing were unable to reach their full potential in Race 1 of the Clipsal 500 today when Shane van Gisbergen crossed the finishing line 5 laps down and Wilson Security Racing’s Tim Slade fell victim to the concrete barriers early in the race. The incident left Slade unable to finish the 78 lap race in front of his home crowd. IRWIN Racing’s Alex Davison was the teams signing light managing to finish the 250km race in 11th after starting 23rd on the grid.
	12/03/2010 VAN GISBERGEN, THE FASTEST FORD ON DAY 1 IN ADELAIDE	SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen has managed to continue his fine form on the opening day of the Clipsal 500 ending up 2nd quickest at the conclusion of the three practice sessions. Coming off two podiums in the Middle East, van Gisbergen made a smooth transition from the wide, flowing tracks of Abu Dhabi and Bahrain to the tight and sometimes torturous street circuit of Adelaide Parklands to finish one tenth of a second behind Team Vodafone’s Jamie Whincup in the times.
	11/03/2010 CLIPSAL CHANGE FOR McLAUGHLIN	Fujitsu Racing’s Scott McLaughlin will have to wait to make his V8 Supercar debut as a result of not having the appropriate Competition Racing Licence for next weekend’s Adelaide, Clipsal 500 series opener. McLaughlin, who enjoyed a successful second test day at Queensland Raceway on Thursday with Stone Brothers Racing, will be replaced for the Clipsal 500 Fujitsu Series opener by two-time New Zealand V8 Champion, John McIntyre.
	28/02/2010 VAN GISBERGEN TAKES SECOND PODIUM IN THE MIDDLE EAST	SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen has scored his second podium in the Middle East, finishing today’s [Saturday] 200km race at the Bahrain International Circuit in third place. After qualifying 14th for the 37 lap race the youngest driver in the series not only finished in the top three but also set a new lap record, posting the races fastest time of 2:06.9097on lap 25 with a full tank of fuel.
	27/02/2010 SBR’S TYRES GET TIRED IN BAHRAIN	Stone Brothers Racing were unable to convert a front row start into a podium today when extreme tyre wear caused all three cars to experience fading pace in the race. As expected tyres played a major part on the abrasive track surface with lap times dropping off over 4 seconds towards the end of the 37 laps.
	26/02/2010 VAN GISBERGEN TO START FROM FRONT ROW IN BAHRAIN	SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen will start this afternoon’s 200km race in Bahrain from the front row after qualifying second fastest in the Top Ten Shootout. Van Gisbergen put in a sensational lap that was only outdone by reigning V8 Supercar Champion, Jamie Whincup on the session’s final lap.
	25/02/2010 SBR RUNNING TO PLAN IN BAHRAIN	Alex Davison and Tim Slade got their first taste of the Bahrain International Circuit today [Thursday] when the V8 Supercars took to the track for practice on the new 5.41km layout. Davison posted an impressive lap time on his BIC debut ending the day 8th fastest while Slade was 13th. SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen was quickest of the SBR cars finishing 4th fastest for the day in the combined lap times after a one year hiatus from the world class circuit.
	21/02/2010 VAN GISBERGEN SCORES FIRST CAREER PODIUM IN ABU DHABI	SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen will leave Abu Dhabi with his first career podium after finishing tonight’s [Saturday] 200km race in third place at the Yas Marina Circuit. Van Gisbergen, the youngest fulltime driver in the series was thrilled with his podium result that was capped off with taking out the new lap record.
	20/02/2010 SBR STARTS SEASON STRONG IN THE MIDDLE EAST	Stone Brothers Racing got their 2010 V8 Supercar campaign off to a great start tonight [Friday] at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, with Shane van Gisbergen and Alex Davison finishing the season opening race both inside the top ten. The #4 and #9 FG Falcons lined up on the grid for the 43 lap race next to each other on the fourth row thanks to solid qualifying efforts from both cars.
	19/02/2010 VAN GISBERGEN SETS THE BENCHMARK AT YAS MARINA CIRCUIT	SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen continued his testing efforts today setting the practice record when the V8 Supercars hit the track for the first time at the spectacular Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. The session that finished under lights saw van Gisbergen knocked off the top of the time sheets by Whincup in the final seconds, only to have his quickest time of 1:58.2230 reinstated as the fastest lap of the day after Whincup was penalised for cutting a corner.
	10/02/2010 SBR QUICKEST AT PRE-SEASON TEST	Stone Brothers Racing have completed their first test day in 2010 after all three FG V8 Supercars spent yesterday [Tuesday] on track at QLD Raceway in preparation for the upcoming season opener in the Middle East. Alex Davison, Shane van Gisbergen and Tim Slade joined the fellow Queensland based teams for a full days running as part of the official V8 Supercar preseason test.
	04/02/2010 Gold Coast SuperCarnivale re-juvenated for 20th Anniversary Celebration	In a massive coup for the Gold Coast, the biggest annual event in Queensland will be entirely re-branded and transformed into a massive ‘Gold Coast SuperCarnivale’ weekend.The Queensland Government and V8 Supercars Australia jointly announced that the Gold Coast fixture will be wholly re-invigorated in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the event this October.

	11/01/2010 QLD RACEWAY DROPPED FROM V8 SUPERCAR CALENDAR IN 2010	V8 Supercars Australia has been unable to reach satisfactory hire and commercial terms with the operator of Queensland Raceway for a proposed 2010 May date.This date on the 2010 Championship Series calendar had been listed until now as provisional, pending the outcome of talks between the two parties.

	11/12/2009 Ross’ Race Meeting Wrap Up – Sydney Telstra 500	It is always exciting to go to a new race venue so we were all looking forward to the Sydney Homebush event. When I arrived at Sydney Olympic Park on the Wednesday there was only the Dunlop transporter parked up inside the indoor centre and it was dwarfed by the sheer size of the massive building. It was great to have everything setup inside like that and also gave the spectators a chance to escape the Sydney summer heat.

	06/12/2009 SBR FINISH 2009 SEASON STRONG IN SYDNEY	Stone Brothers Racing had a great day on track today in the final race of the 2009 V8 Supercars season with both FG Falcons finishing the 250km race inside the top ten at the Sydney Telstra 500. Twenty year old Shane van Gisbergen was the comeback kid of the 74 lap chase after an average qualifying result, a drive through penalty and going down a lap in the race, the kiwi youngster made an unbelievable recovery to finish in 6th position.
	05/12/2009 TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS FOR SBR IN SYDNEY	Stone Brothers Racing had a frustrating day on track at the hard-hitting Sydney Telstra 500 today when yet another potential podium finish for van Gisbergen went begging at the races half way point. The SP Tools Racing Falcon managed to avoid damage in a racing incident and battled on for the remaining laps, making a decent recovery to finish 10th. Alex Davison’s day was over early thanks to a bent wishbone on the front left hand side of the IRWIN Racing Falcon.
	04/12/2009 VAN GISBERGEN 3RD ON DAY 1 OF THE SYDNEY TESLTRA 500	Stone Brothers Racing drivers, Shane van Gisbergen and Alex Davison got their first taste of the new 3.4km circuit around Sydney Olympic Park today on Day 1 of the inaugural Sydney Telstra 500 showcase event. Van Gisbergen’s aggressive and brave driving style was rewarded on the narrow track as he set the third fasted time of the day on the demanding street circuit.
	22/11/2009 SBR’S MOMENTUM STALLED AT PERTH	Stone Brothers Racing will be looking to redeem themselves at next month’s Sydney Telstra 500 event after a troubled weekend in Barbagallo, Perth. The teams qualifying woes continued today with Alex Davison positioned in 17th on the grid and van Gisbergen lining up in 22nd for today’s 84 lap race. The only Safety Car period of the race threw SBR’s strategy into turmoil when van Gisbergen was blocked at the pit entry when coming in to change over to a new set of soft tyres.
	21/11/2009 SBR SET FOR ‘SOFT’ SUNDAY	Stone Brothers Racing will be looking to make the most out of the ‘soft’ tyres they have in reserve for tomorrow’s 84 lap feature at the Bigpond 300 in Perth. In today’s half length race both van Gisbergen and Davison made the best out of a bad situation after an average qualifying result in this morning’s elimination sessions. 	20/11/2009 SBR NOT CONCERNED WITH SLOW START AT PERTH BIGPOND 300	Stone Brothers Racing team boss, Ross Stone says there is no need for panic after both the SP Tools Racing and IRWIN Racing Falcons finished today’s practice sessions in 17th and 20th respectively. Shane van Gisbergen was hoping that his speed earlier this month at the Phillip Island International Circuit would translate at Barbagallo but today proved to be a bit of a struggle for the kiwi and his teammate.

	08/11/2009 ANOTHER TOP TEN FINISH FOR VAN GISBERGEN AT THE ISLAND	Shane van Gisbergen made his way into the top ten of the V8 Supercar Championship today after another brilliant drive at The Island 300. 	07/11/2009 POSITIVE START FOR SBR AT THE ISLAND	Van Gisbergen finished 5th today in the first race at The Island 300 after an incident involving Lowndes and Todd Kelly helped him move up two places in the dying stages of the race. It was a positive day overall for the SP Tools Racing Falcon with van Gisbergen qualifying 4th to make it into the Top Ten Shootout. 	30/10/2009 ROSS STONE RETURNS TO THE BOARD	A new grid of V8 Supercars Board members is set to help lead the sport into 2010. Manufacturer representation remains with Ford Performance Racing’s Tim Edwards retaining his position. Also voted onto the board were Ross Stone, co-owner of Ford’s only other factory team, Stone Brothers Racing and Roland Dane, who is switching over to Holden from next year.
	25/10/2009 GOLD COAST, NO PARADISE FOR SBR	It was a frustrating end to the Gold Coast SuperGP event for Stone Brothers Racing today after both cars failed to finish in the top ten in the two 150kms races. SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen finished the Nikon Gold Coast SuperGP in 12th place overall, with IRWIN Racing’s Alex Davison in 16th.
	24/10/2009 VAN GISBERGEN TURNS LEMONS TO LEMONADE AT SUPERGP	Shane van Gisbergen turned yesterday’s average qualifying result of 18th onto a top five finish in this morning’s first 150km race at the Gold Coast Nikon SuperGP. The #9 SP Tools Racing Falcon was hot on the pace around the streets of Surfers Paradise in tough conditions that saw van Gisbergen’s helmet temperature reach as high as 34.6 degrees. Managing to stay out of trouble and keep his nose clean, van Gisbergen made up 13 positions in the 34 lap race to finish 5th behind Craig Lowndes.

Van Gisbergen and Davison were well in the hunt and sitting 5th when in wet weather conditions James Courtney made contact with the IRWIN/SP Tools Racing Falcon on lap 81, damaging the right rear hub of the #9 FG. 	10/10/2009 SBR TO START 6TH FOR TOMORROWS ‘GREAT RACE’	SBR will start the Bathurst 1000 from the third row after van Gisbergen posted the sixth fastest time in this afternoon’s Top Ten Shootout. 	16/09/2009 2010 V8 SUPERCAR CALENDAR ANNOUNCED	V8 Supercars Australia have announced the 2010 Championship Series Calender. 	23/08/2009 SBR FEELS THE HEAT AT QLD RACEWAY	After having high expectations at their home test circuit SBR experienced another frustrating day on track at QLD Raceway. Disappointed with their starting positions after both cars qualified outside the top ten, van Gisbergen and Davison had their work cut out for them, and with just under half the field still having their soft tyres on reserve it was a long and tough 100km race.
	22/08/2009 CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR	Today’s 100km race at QLD Raceway ran 5 laps too long for SBR as van Gisbergen was set for his first career podium but fell back to 9th after his sprint tyres went off in the dying stages of the race. IRWIN Racing’s Alex Davison had a nightmare start to the race when he experienced clutch problems on the grid, racing the whole 33 laps on sprint tyres he managed to recover well to finish 13th.
	21/08/2009 PRACTICE GOES TO PLAN	SBR were happy with the end result of today’s practice at QLD Raceway with SP Tools Racing’s Shane van Gisbergen finishing 9th fastest and IRWIN Racing’s Alex Davison in 23rd. Last week’s test day at the Ipswich circuit left SBR with little rubber to use in Practice so the team are confident that today’s combined results do not reflect their race weekend potential.
	13/08/2009 ROOMMATE COMPLETES SBR’S ENDURO TEAM	Shane van Gisbergen’s kiwi roommate, Daniel Gaunt has been confirmed as SBR’s final driver in their 2009 enduro season line-up. Currently contesting in the Fujistu V8 Supercar Series under the McElrea Racing entry, Gaunt is the second co-driver confirmed beside fellow kiwi John McIntyre for this year’s L&H Phillip Island 500 and Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 endurance events.
	02/08/2009 DISASTROUS DAY FOR SBR AT SANDOWN	Shane van Gisbergen copped another cruel blow to his championship points tally today when he was forced to retire from Race 2 on the second lap of the Norton 360 Sandown Challenge. The SP Tools Racing Falcon was unable to press on after early contact with Michael Patrizi, van Gisbergen reported to the team he would enter pit lane for repairs but from that point on both the car and Shane remained in SBR’s garage.
	01/08/2009 SOFT RUBBER TO BURN ON SUNDAY	Van Gisbergen had a day he’d rather forget after a horror start in the first race of the Norton 360 Sandown Challenge. After locking up the soft tyres on his SP Tools Racing Falcon on the first corner of Lap 1 Shane found himself in a number of different incidents before recovering well to finish 15th. 	31/07/2009 MIXED FORTUNES FOR SBR AT SANDOWN	Alex Davison started the race weekend strong today, sitting comfortably inside the top five throughout Practice until dropping to 8th in the final minutes. Van Gisbergen was forced to retire from Practice after being involved in a high speed incident at turn 7 in the second session. A bit shaken after making contact with the armco, Shane escaped injury and after a routine check was cleared by the circuit’s medical centre.

	12/07/2009 STEERING PROBLEMS PUT AN END TO SBR’S NIGHTMARE WEEKEND IN TOWNSVILLE	Steering rack issues caused heartbreak in SBR’s garage today when both cars were forced to retire from the 200km race by Lap 16. Both the SP Tools Racing and IRWIN Racing Falcon had steering racks replaced after this morning’s qualifying session, the change to car #9 cutting it uncomfortably close to the start of the 72 lap race.
	11/07/2009 DOUBLE DOSE OF DRAMA FOR SBR IN TOWNSVILLE	Today’s 72 lap race didn’t go to plan for SBR as both cars suffered setbacks in the pits and on track. A messy pit stop under safety car cost van Gisbergen dearly while Davison was forced to retire from the race after the steering rack let go on the IRWIN Racing Falcon. Van Gisbergen did his best to recover in the race finishing 12th while Davison was forced to watch the dying stages of the race unfold from the SBR pit garage.
	10/07/2009 TOWNSVILLE COMES ALIVE ON DAY ONE OF V8 ACTION	Today’s beautiful Nth QLD weather set the scene for the first day on track at the Dunlop Townsville 400. Over 48,000 race fans turned out to soak up the sun and the atmosphere at the new purpose built temporary race facility. Today’s three-part Practice sessions was the first time the series drivers were able to experience the 2.87km circuit that has been years in the making.

	08/07/2009 ALEX DAVISON - DRIVER DIARY, SBR ROAD TRIP DAY 5	We got up early and managed to get in a quick Maccas breakfast before we arrived at Ruralquip to do an appearance on behalf of IRWIN and SP Tools. Ayr was a pretty small town but there was a great turnout and everybody was really excited to see the IRWIN Falcon and of course talk about the upcoming Townville 400 this weekend. The local Mayor even dropped in to say hello and it was great to see that everybody in the towns surrounding Townsville are really enthusiastic about the race.
	07/07/2009 ALEX DAVISON - DRIVER DIARY, SBR ROAD TRIP DAY 4	Today we left the harbour in Airlie Beach on a sixty foot boat and headed out for a nice day on the water. We had originally planned to visit Whitehaven Beach but the weather didn’t really suit so we pulled up in a more sheltered area. When the sun finally come out from the clouds it was great to just sit around and relax.
	05/07/2009 ALEX DAVISON - DRIVER DIARY, SBR ROAD TRIP DAY 3	This morning we got to sleep in for the first time since the trip started. We got up around 8:30 and all had breakfast at the hotel. We headed to Woodman’s Mitre 10 to do an appearance and they had a great turn out and some FPV vehicles on display from the local Ford Dealer. The IRWIN car was on display once again, the SBR transporters tailgate has been working hard on the trip so far!
	05/07/2009 ALEX DAVISON - DRIVER DIARY, SBR ROAD TRIP DAY 2	Again we had an early start this morning, jumping into the Winnebago and leaving Rockhampton at 6am... not that fun after maybe not getting to bed the night before as early as we should have! Luckily for me, Shane jumped into the driver’s seat this morning so I was able to relax a little bit on the 308km drive to Sarina where we visited the CSR Sugar Mill and Ethanol Distillery.
	04/07/2009 ALEX DAVISON - DRIVER DIARY, SBR ROAD TRIP DAY 1	On day one we put a big dent in the trip, travelling 695kms. We left the SBR workshop on Friday morning at 6:00am and I drove the Winnebago from Yatala to Gladstone. The trip got off to a great start when I missed the airport turnoff and we were forced to head through Brisbane city, luckily just early enough to miss all the traffic. We picked up our team photographer, Scotty and hit the road for about 6 hours.

	21/06/2009 Davison’s ‘Sprint’ to the Podium	IRWIN Racing’s Alex Davison surpassed even his own expectations today when he finished Race 2 of the Sky City Triple Crown in Darwin in second place. His podium finish was thanks to a brilliant and risky race strategy and his best ever qualifying result, starting on the grid in tenth position.
	20/06/2009 A SHOT AT REDEMPTION	The Sky City Triple Crown dished out some cruel blows today when Alex Davison lost an engine four laps onto the first part of Qualifying. His Teammate, Shane van Gisbergen didn’t fare much better starting on the grid in 23rd after failing to record a lap quick enough to make it into the next elimination leg.
